Marc Hoag is the founder of Hoag Law.ai, a flat-rate fractional General Counsel practice for AI-era startups. He is a California-licensed attorney (since 2008), the Inaugural Chair of the Beverly Hills Bar Association AI & the Law section, a Columbia University guest lecturer on ChatGPT and AI law, and a published author on AI and copyright in the Marin County Bar Association Journal. He is a former VC-backed founder, and one of the very few practicing attorneys who builds production software with Claude Code, Cursor, and Xcode in his daily practice.
